CMS Consultants Releases WorldLink Version 5.1.0

New release extends enterprise shipping solution functionality through enhancements to shipment consolidation options, data archiving, carrier set-up, and European-origin.

Springfield, VA (PRWEB) January 5, 2005 -- CMS Consultants, Inc. released WorldLink version 5.1.0 today, extending the functionality of the middleware enterprise shipping management application. New enhancements include the ability to Ship With Other Shipments, data archiving, carrier holiday set up, per-site time zone configuration, and support for European origin for UPS and DHL.

“WorldLink’s enhancements benefit a wide range of customers,” said Wil Fekeci, CMS president. “These include companies shipping to large via multiple daily shipments, multi-national shippers wanting to ship from both domestic and international locations, and high-volume shippers with a fondness for generating detailed reports.”

Ship With Other Shipments module: Enables shippers to consolidate orders on the fly, while also giving them the ability to automatically update their Host database records with shipment information. Shippers can consolidate invoices via three options: 1) Combine multiple invoice contents (or partial contents) into one box; 2) Put shipments on hold, as boxes are processed throughout the day, for later consolidation; 3) Search to discover if there are other orders for a specified buyer that could be consolidated.

Data Archiving: Enables customers to replicate shipping data onto another server box, allowing them to perform detailed data mining and reporting without slowing down production shipping activities. Well-suited to high-volume shippers with voluminous shipping databases.

Carrier Holiday Set-Up: Customers gain the ability to determine true days-in-transit for any carrier’s delivery method. The enhancement extends the functionality of the BestWay module, WorldLink’s combination rate and best delivery shopping capability, by capturing carrier holidays in the days-in-transit tables.

Time zone configuration set-up: Customers gain the ability to properly set the time zone for any shipping location, simplifying systems management for customers with multiple shipping locations.

European origins for UPS and DHL: Enables multinational customers to ship from US- and European-origin locations from a single, multi-carrier shipping system, without the need to create “generic carriers.”
