"A Salute to Our Military Heroes"

On September 10, 2005 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. a group of united Army moms will gather at the Capitol Building Reflecting Pool in Washington D.C. to salute and honor our sons and daughters serving in all branches of the military. In the evening military families are invited to attend a lecture on combat stress and post traumatic stress disorder given by mental health professionals from the Department of Defense and the Veterans Affairs Administration.

(PRWEB) July 20, 2005 -- On September 10th, 2005 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Washington D.C. Capitol Reflecting Pool, Proud Army Moms invite America to join them in showing their support for our troops and their families in “A Salute to Our Military Heroes.” The rally is to honor our military and the families who support them each and every day. Mary Ward of MareHaven Productions and a Proud Army Mom says “A united group of Proud Army Moms have planned the rally and see this as an opportunity to honor all of the military who are serving and hope to see families from all branches of the service join us. For many of us it will be the first time we are meeting face to face and are looking forward to a strong showing of supporters.”

In addition to the rally the evening of September 10th, the Department of Defense and the Veteran’s Administration have teamed up to provide a conference on combat stress and post traumatic stress disorder for veterans, active duty military and military family members. The conference will be held at the Embassy Suites Hotel Dulles VA. Registration for the conference is required and is available through the website www.marehaven.com or by calling 919-493-5039. Through generous donations the lecture will be offered for free.
