(PRWEB) May 22, 2005 -- Discount Shipping Insurance (DSI), the leading provider of alternate shipping insurance, is offering coverage for the recently released DHL@Home service. All Mail and Parcel Centers (MPC) that are DSI policy holders can take advantage of this new DHL service and make sure their shipments are protected in transit.

DHL@Home is a partnership between DHL and the United States Postal Service (USPS). DHL picks up the shipment and turns it over to the nearest Post Office DDU(Destination Delivery Unit) for final delivery. DHL will provide a maximum coverage of up to $100 or actual value, whichever is less. That is where DSI coverage steps in. DSI will cover shipments valued above the $100.00 carrier coverage. "When DHL launched their @Home service, we knew this would be a natural fit for many MPC's" said Ariel Shmorak, VP of Discount Shipping Insurance. "Covering these shipments is just a natural extension of our current product offerings."

MPC's that choose to insure their DHL@Home shipments with DSI will continue to experience the high level of customer service they have grown accustomed to from DSI. Claims will be handled in an expedited fashion and the integration with the major POS systems makes using DSI insurance a seamless process.
